Review of Good Night, and Good Luck. (2005) by Jason F — 31 Jul 2010
I always admire movies with a hidden intensity that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up without intentionally doing so. Good Night, And Good Luck is a grand example of this. David Strathairn puts on one of the greatest acting performances I've ever seen, and is backed up by a star studded supporting cast. George Clooney shows his real skills in this film by putting on a great performance in both acting and directing, along with an incredible screenplay, and great editing. On that note I believe that Good Night, And Good Luck was definitely worthy of the six Academy Award nominations it received, and has spot on political relevance to today. The film displays Senator Joseph McCarthy's radical antics better than most History Channel specials, and showed his outrageous allegations to the innocent men and women of the United States.
Good night, and good luck.
