Review of Good-bye, My Lady (1956) by Marcus E — 09 Aug 2017
This movie is a wonderful surprise. It is one of the best - if not the very best Hollywood dog movies. Fleishman's writing is real south - not phony . The actors are superb. It's a perfect confluence of writing and acting.
The story is touching but not overly tragic or melodramatic. The film was obviously shot on location somewhere in the southern swamps. This flick is an unknown jewel.
