Hunter Thompson was a great character, to say the least. Sure he was probably an asshole (definitely to that bird) but like the Hell's Angel said through his stoma- he's great even if you don't personally like him.
What's scary is that he was hopefull during Nixon & Reagan, then depressed by Bush?
