Why this movie wasn't even nominated for Best Picture will forever be a mystery for me!!! Stephen Lang is superb just as Jeff Daniels as the professor turned warrior. Gods and Generals along with Gettysburg are the best Civil War movies ever made.
The Christian overtone that was a pillar of Stone Wall Jackson's life and Lang's fantastic portrayal of it on the big screen definitely cost him a nomination for Best Actor!
