Review of Goddess of Love (1988) by Angie Y — 20 Jul 2014

Wow, this "Mannequin" rip-off is nearly Troma-worthy. The humor is completely unfunny while the drama is hilarious, and the dialogue betrays its late-80s origins. The two leads (Vanna and David Naughton) are the two worst actors in the film, but the script makes sure that nobody else has anything to work with.

I was thinking about giving this a 7/10 on the So-Bad-It's-Good Meter. However, the movie also features Little Richard, and David Naughton plays a heterosexual hair stylist in a totally non-ironic way, both of which give the film a big boost. My final verdict: 8.5/10.
