Review of Glengarry Glen Ross (1992) by Keith M — 30 Jul 2010
"First place is a Cadillac El Dorado. Anyone want to see second place? Second place is a set of steak knives. Third place, YOU'RE FIRED!".
One of the best acting movies I've ever seen. Mamet's script is glorious. Alec Baldwin is absolutely cut-throat in this movie, although his scene is less than 10 mins. Pacino, Harris, Arkin, and Lemmon also shine in this movie. Kevin Spacey is not bad, but the role he plays is not as captivating as some of his other movies (Swimming with Sharks; American Beauty).
The thing that drives this movie is story, story, story! No benefit of added CGI and special effects. The dream-team cast in this movie makes it all worthwhile.
"You know what it takes to sell real estate? You gotta have brass balls to sell real estate!".
