Review of Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence (2004) by Itaru L — 19 Aug 2008
Superior to the first film (which was amazing in its own right) in my eyes. Probably better for native Japanese speakers like myself due to the number of quotes and technical jargon that are uttered, but it is nevertheless an entertaining, poignant piece of animation.
Sometimes I honestly wonder why the typical Westerner still sees anime as "kiddish" when movies like this clearly contradicts that stereotype in every aspect. It is however a piece that is difficult to follow, which may confuse those of lower intellect.
:P.
