Review of Georgia (1995) by Jennifer B — 29 Sep 2007
This isn't supposed to be a simple and happy film. JJL's character isn't supposed to be a great singer. She's tragic, insecure, jealous and a mess. She has dreams but she can never reach the top like her more talented sister. Yes, it IS painful to watch and listen to at times, but that's the beauty of it. The point of it and trying to make it big.
Jennifer Jason Leigh is just devastating to watch, you actually begin to feel her pain.
