Review of Gamera: Guardian of the Universe (1995) by Iurgi U — 14 Jul 2007
The Kaiju-Eiga (or monster films) are ridiculous, which is one of their beauties. But this new Gamera series produced in the late 90s is excellent. The story and the characters are great, interesting and humane, and the monsters are more believable.
This film and the following two sequels are no doubt the best films of the genre - sorry Godzilla.
