Review of Gabrielle (1954) by Charlotte D — 13 Aug 2006
Isabelle Hubert was amazing, as usual, as the cold, hateful wife of a cuckold. The cinematography was very lovely and the look of the movie was gorgeous. I didn't really get why she was so mean to her husband, but it was definitly fun watching her wrath unfold.
However, on the whole, the movie was too melodramatic for my taste.
