Review of Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos (2011) by Troy F — 19 Jan 2012
Fullmetal Alchemist fans are in for a treat with this second feature film based on the anime series. It's a film with a strong story, intense and thrilling action sequences, along with the usual humour common in the series.
While having some knowledge of the characters in the original series helps you to know who the other characters are in this film better, you really don't need to know much at all or anything of the original series, and no trace of anything from the FMA: Brotherhood series either.
The film actually fills in some of the Elric brothers background from the series briefly with some quick flashbacks, so that it's approachable for fans and newcomers alike. I'm not sure I'm overrating it or not, all I know is that it surpassed my expectations.
It's a real blast to watch, I assure you.
