Review of Full Tilt Boogie (1998) by Dustin G — 14 Apr 2011
Interesting documentary on the making of the film From Dusk Till Dawn. I feel like most bigger films will have a documentary crew filming the events of the film's progression just in case some catastrophe or whatnot happens that will make for a good feature length making of, but that just usually doesn't happen. I'd have to say with Full Tilt Boogie, that didn't really happen either. Sure there were clashes with the Union and desert wind storms to deal with, but Lost in La Mancha, this is not.
I really enjoyed it because I love seeing behind the scenes footage of film sets and it has pretty extensive interviews with most of the cast (except Harvey Keitel, but he's kind of a weirdo anyway) and crew. Probably not strong enough to get its own separate release, but a great companion piece to Dusk Till Dawn and a fine special feature that is included for free with the purchase of the Dawn dvd.
