Review of Frost/Nixon (2008) by Bill B — 12 May 2011
Films like these are easy to miss at the cinema, they aren't flashy and as far as describing the plot goes it really does sound boring.
Whilst in truth this is the exact opposite of boring. Ron Howards direction keeps the pace flowing and the anticipation high. Michael Sheen sounds the part as David Frost and Frank Langella - while he sounds like Billy West's Richard Nixon impression at times - is a brilliant Nixon, Presidential and ruthless. Sheen and Langellas electricity during those interview scenes and throughout is remarkable. Both men fighting for their careers and only one man can emerge from these interviews victorious.
This film is certainly a knockout and well worth your time. Don't miss it!
