Review of Freedom Force (2012) by Justin J — 14 Jan 2014
This is a review if the first 10 minutes of the film.
The premise of this film is basically incoherent. The main characters introduced at the beginning of the film do not make another appearance for at least the next 9 minutes. The villain's scheme entails mixing up Jules Verne's characters and stories so that they are nonsensical. The problem of course is that Verne's stories are widely distributed. How, exactly, would one manage to change all the printed versions of the stories? Does the villain have the power to travel back in time into the mind of Verne and get him to write different versions of the stories? The film does not offer an explanation. It feels like you're watching a rough draft of a movie rather than the final product. Like the mixed-up versions of Verne's stories, this film is "cockamamie cuckoo"; "a calamity; an absolute calamity.".
