Review of First Reformed (2018) by Cliff K — 26 Jul 2018
One of the best films of 2018 thus far. It's slow, it's deliberate, it's masterfully directed and incredibly acted by Ethan Hawke and Amanda Seyfried specifically. The film is full of subtly and density and not afraid to surprise you with a touch of surrealism and leaving you wondering what just happened by the ending.
Marvelously written and this film sticks with you. Beautiful.
