Review of Fences (2016) by Theodore C — 07 Jan 2017
When it begins, this film feels like you're watching the recording of a Broadway play. Slowly but surely you are engrossed in a powerful, unapologetic, honest portrait of raw blackness. Denzel Washington and Viola Davis levitate together in pure black magic.
Denzel proves himself once again to be a brilliant director. This is a work of art.
