Review of Fat Kid Rules The World (2012) by Deanna M — 12 Oct 2012
Fat Kid was not only heartwarming and punk rock but I didn't stop smiling throughout the entire film. It is hard to make a movie that is both comedic and touching and Fat Kid is both. It made me think back to high school and all of the wallflowers I never once took a chance to talk to. Fat Kid also made me feel nostalgic toward those amazing high school punk shows that I would frequent and I'm itching to find a place to mosh, despite my ripe ol' age of 23. The performances were compelling and REAL. You knew/know a Troy and a Marcus in school and you'll think of them during this movie.
P.S. Don't f*ck with the fat kid.
