Review of Fargo (1952) by Jim F — 02 Feb 2014
This was the movie that introduced me to the Coen Bros. It was also the movie that made me sit up and take notice of Steve Buschemi. The dialogue scenes between him and his accomplice are my favorite parts of the movie.
I also loved watching Jerry Lundegaard squirming his way through the movie as he tries to reinvent new lies in order to cope with the ever changing circumstances of his botched up plan. The insistence on not involving the police.
His manner when being interviewed by the police, the body language is superb. It is William H Macy's greatest movie performance.
