Review of Fahrenheit 451 (1966) by Ivor C — 03 Apr 2008
Chillingly accurate view of 21st Century living. As I walk the dog at night I pass house after house of people sat glued to plasma TV's watching reality TV and soaps as the hub of their evening activity.
Cars fly past at 60mph in built up areas. Bradbury's images of what is now our reality are wonderfully transferred to the big screen by the brillance of Trufaut. Makes me want to pick up a book and read just thinking about this film.
