Review of Eyes Wide Shut (1999) by Ash J — 14 Sep 2010

A masterpiece of filmmaking, definitely Kubrick even in his last days, he was still an absolute genious, no matter his age. It's a very enigmatic piece of art, whose true meaning is not quite clear.

I was fascinated by its perfect work of direction, the intriguing plot, the mysterious characters and the mindblowing atmosphere. It captivated me and entertained me from the very beginning until the very end, and it's about 160 minutes long.

So far, the best performance I've seen by Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, also Sydney Pollack was good in his role. Its final "line" or word actually was unforgettable: "Fuck". A mesmerizing masterpiece of cinema.
