Review of Eye of God (1997) by Daryl G — 08 Dec 2007
A heart-wrenching rural drama about loneliness, faith and the nature of evil. Hal Holbrook gives a great performance as the small town sheriff and Nick Stahl is able to portray his tragic character with a minimal.
Use of dialoug . Mary Kay Place is also a revelation. Other than amazing performances from the entire cast the movie also has a concise and believable script and a simple, yet stunning cinematography. This is without a doubt Tim Blake Nelson's best directorial effort. American filmmaking at it's finest.
