Review of Expiration Date (2006) by Brion K — 05 Dec 2009
An amazing film about living your life to the fullest, Expiration date is a fairly dark romantic comedy that entertains though out. Robert A. Guthrie (Charlie) and Sascha Knopf (Bessie) give great performances with relatable and interesting characters.
While it's not a complex story (boy learns he'll die, boy meets girl, boy's feeling are in chaos), it's has enough interesting twists to keep the audience wondering what's coming.
Littered with red herrings, and foreshadowing, it keeps the audience guessing till the end.
The one fault could be that the plot pacing is uneven a bit during the end of the first Act going into the second, but the characters make up for it in their intrigue.
