Review of Exodus (1960) by Joel A — 29 May 2013
The 3 hour 19 minute epic about the transporting of Jews to Palestine and creation of Israel as we know it.
It's a tad long but it's still an interesting story & the cast is strong which helps. The film centres on specific Jews and their personal journeys.
Paul Newman is convincing as a Jew but gives a solid performance. Sal Mineo is fantastic in his supporting role. Although the story is rich the film has its holes, but it is a must see film even just for the history of the event itself.
