One of the first musicals I've seen on film, and still one of my favorites. I personally think this is one of Andrew Lloyd Webbers best work. It is a musical that goes deeper than just the music. Madonna gives an amazing performance, its too bad she didnt stick with musicals, perhaps it would have helped her acting career.
This is easily one of the best musical films I've seen in years.
