Review of Elvis: That's the Way It Is (1970) by Adam D — 11 Sep 2007
Flawless.
That's the only word to describe Elvis' performances in this wonderful documentary.
Despite the maddening, pretentious editing, moronic Director, and almost insulting irrelevant cut-aways (most of which were removed from the improved-yet still flawed in its own way- special edition) this is one of the most important films ever made, and chronicles a pivotal period in the life of the one true King of Rock 'n Roll.
