Review of El Topo (1970) by Kevin O — 12 Feb 2008
A very surrealistic western that goes beyond anything that was made in the time period. Its not a film for everyone, but anybody who considers themself a movie buff should see El Topo. Its a revolutionary film, and quite the piece of art.
I couldn't exactly give it four stars because certain parts didn't sit with me, and even the grotesque value of it all just hit me after a while. But it is still a solid film.
