Review of Dying Breed (2008) by Jeff R — 24 Mar 2009
Afterdark Horror Fest III.
Movie 4 of 8.
The first and a bit of the second hour of dying breed is played out like a documentary type film, there are character introductions and searching for a tasmanian tiger rumored to still exist. Then by the final half the horror begins. Dying Breed centers on Zoologist Nina and her friends who hope to finish nina's sister's work. Before she died she was on a major discovery of the rare tasmanian tiger. But many years earlier in 1824, Alexander Pearce aka "The Pieman" he was tried for cannibalism and he escapes his execution. it is rumored that he is still alive and he's hungry for some dinner. I found the ending quite stupid but it's a horror movie and horror movies always have stupid endings to scare us. acting was so-so, and character developments were interesting.
4/5.
