Obviously not for everyone, but certainly for me. I love a man unafraid to carve out his own mythology, drug-soaked as it may be. The climax in the desert-swallowed town is one of my favorite all-time sequences; also, best use of voiceover narration to sew a film together, ever (La Jetee maybe has second place) .
