Review of DragonHeart (1996) by S Murilo M — 08 Jun 2012
I grew up with this movie, and to this day, I love it dearly. For it's age, the special effects are nothing to laugh at. Even to this day, Draco feels more real to me than the characters in the world of "Avatar.
" Perhaps it's the expression, or the voice of Connery that makes him so real to me. Either way, this is one of my childhood favorites, and throughout the web it has loyal following. Quaid does a killer job acting opposite something that isn't there.
In my high school acting class, I brought the movie in to display an intense scene that involves serious conflict with characters. I showed the last scene, and when it comes to the end with the death of Inon, I heard the collective gasp of my classmates at the strength of the friendship between Bowen and Draco.
I love this movie....and to those who don't.... I saw SHUT UP!
