Hard to believe that the first Bond film was made for less than a million dollars. It doesn't have the glitz and massive special effects like the later films, but it does deliver on story and Sean Connery's presence.
And it's Bond at his bluntest ("You had your six.. "). He's also able to sell humor without getting ridiculous. This isn't a fireworks show, but it's Bond at his purest.
