Review of Doom Asylum (1988) by John W — 01 Mar 2011
Made on a budget of next to nothing, Doom Asylum was made in the height of the slasher boom that was happening in the '80s. Now, there is NO POSSIBLE WAY this could have ever, EVER been taken seriously in any point in time.
The killer's one-liners are literally the WORST you will ever hear, the teenagers are incredibly stupid (maniac coming at you with a buzz saw? You'd run, right? Nope. This girl sits down and waits for the killer to come up to her), the gore effects are amateurish, and the whole thing is just begging to be seen at a party.
