Review of Donnie Brasco (1997) by Steve C — 16 Apr 2012
One of the greatest mafia movies ever. Pacino and Depp are perfectly casted in this gangster thriller. Pacino plays lefty, a low level Mafia soldier who takes in young Donnie the jeweler. Little does he know Donnie is really FBI agent Joe Pistone, a rat meant to sabotage the Bonnano Crime family.
But the more time Joe spends in 'this thing of ours', the more he becomes like his character Donnie. The drama is great the performances are spectacular and some of the best of seen particularity Pacino.
There is never a dull moment it will always keep you interested it is very thrilling and the climax is great yet also will draw some emotion. This film will keep you hooked from start to finish.
