Review of Dogtooth (2009) by Billy A — 05 Jan 2019
Vital movie to watch. It's slow pace has a huge pay off. The unique ways of showing home schooling and over parental protection is over the top but works beautifully for the film's message.
In another brilliant must watch life film, the Korean revenge movie, "OldBoy," so perfectly showed how revenge and negative intentions destroy everyone involved.
This film, "Dogtooth," shows something equally scary if not more disturbing.
When done with the best intentions, when you think you are doing something good but you are completely wrong, you condition your own children, entrap them and yourselves, and stunt their growth to an ending of an innocence and such stunted growth, the lives of all are completely ruined in horror remaining trapped forever, thinking you have achieved full freedom.
