Review of Dog Day Afternoon (1975) by Robert H — 31 Aug 2010
Sidney Lumet does it again. Dog Day Afternoon is without a doubt the most suspenseful and accomplished of all heist movies, and the direction, with documentary-style exterior shooting, is ahead of its time.
Not to mention, it's one of the few films where Al Pacino can stop being Al Pacino and play an excellent role as it was imagined.
