Review of Doctor Who: Planet of the Spiders (1974) by Josh R — 19 Aug 2011

Jon Pertwee's last stint as the doctor and emotions are running high. Featuring a beautiful moment where the doctor is genuinely scared and a really well executed death scene (although the regeneration itself was a bit pants). It is clear however, Barry Letts gave Jon Pertwee more of an opportunity to do what he wanted as it was his last story, with a chase sequence involving Bessie, The who mobile, a hovercraft, a boat and a mini helicopter which took up the entire length of episode 2.

Otherwise, an interesting and different story.
