Review of Do You Like Hitchcock? (2005) by Steve E — 21 Apr 2009
With "Do You Like Hitchcock," Dario Argento attempts an homage to the venerable Alfred Hitchcock...it's just a shame that his homage turns out to be such a derivative flop. Some reviews say fans of Alfred Hitchcock will enjoy this movie.
Well, I disagree. It's not that the film isn't adeptly made...it's just ridiculous the way it builds its story by blatantly knocking off ideas from popular Hitchcock movies...I can't respect something so futile.
In the end, all I could think to myself was this movie must have been a vanity project for Argento that was thrown together quickly without much enthusiasm.
