Review of Dirty Harry (1971) by Keegan C — 24 Apr 2010

Superb film, the first of the long line of cop films. Filmed in a sort of documentary style this one will excite and thrill instead of those lame shaky camera, techno playing in the background, "explosive" action movies.

It is conservative in view and has been flagged as right-winged propaganda since its reception in the 70's, but it certainly does not stop it from being an excellent film. The ending is one hell of a punch even with the cliche line of "do you feel lucky?" since eastwood is saying it with such vigor one cannot deny the intensity of that scene.
