Review of Die, Mommie, Die! (2003) by Brian W — 24 Mar 2007
This film is just good fun. It's a big, gay, campy mess, but that's what makes it fun.
Angela Arden Sussman is a reclusive ex-singer with more than a few secrets. Her singing career ended with her twin sister's suicide years ago. She's unhappily married to her movie-director husband Sol and cheating on him with her well-endowed, gigolo lover Tony Parker, played by Jason Priestly. Angela loves her simple son Lance and hates her daddy's-girl daughter, Edith (Natasha Lyonne) care much for the nosy maid, Bootsie, (Frances Conroy).
When Sol decides to put his foot down and cancels Angela's credit cards, she kills him with a poisoned suppository. Angela gets in trouble when her activity catches the attention of the police. Her downfall comes when her previously loyal Lance teams up with Edith in a plot to get Angela to confess to the crime.
You have to see this one! :-).
(Oh ya, some of you might recognize the synopsis from Wikipedia, but I wrote it there to begin with anyway so I reused it here as well, haha).
