Review of Desperate Measures (1998) by Brett F — 10 Jun 2007
One of the most underrated films of all time. Set in a hospital, the film's hero and villain make an odd, but classic pair. A killer (Michael Keaton's best work) on death row that is the only match for a dying kid in need of a bone marrow transplant with his policeman father (a compelling Andy Garcia)willing to do anything to save his son.
This includes getting in the way of his colleagues that try to take down the killer once he escapes.
