Review of Déficit (2007) by Alison O — 10 Aug 2010
Despite the English subtitles to this film having the worst standard of spelling this side of Kanye West's pitiful blog, this is worth a watch. Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal makes his directorial debut with this promising slant on the lives of the young idle rich in his homeland.
Taking the lead role as a privileged high schooler, he contrasts the indulgences of two monied siblings holding a pool party with the lot of the working class staff expected to indulge their every whim.
