Review of Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father (2008) by Ian H — 04 Jan 2009
What starts as a truly moving and beautiful portrait of a man setting out to make a documentary for the son of his murdered friend turns into a searing indictment of the justice system and makes you wonder why we even have laws if they allow such terrible shit to happen.
One of the most emotionally devastating films I've ever seen. Shows the absolute goodness of humanity overshadowed by absolute evil.
