Review of Dear White People (2014) by Glenn G — 20 Oct 2014
The struggle of young black woman in an ivy school to describe and reveal the truth about existence of racism and justice within school community and authorities are well portrayed in this film, the understanding of social responsibility as to keep the cultural and traditional affairs within the school system draw a rather outstanding and realistic picture for audience.
But mostly, the emphasis is in my opinion on how both group ( white and black ) carry the hate and racism within their personalities and characters and reflect the ideas of superiority on one another, lack of embracement of own race and having to pick a race is taking an emotional toll on the main character.
