Review of Dear White People (2014) by Carlos F — 16 Oct 2014
Most people will not understand half of this film. An Ivy league education is not required to get it but you do need to be familiar with the basics of college life, history, and black culture. The only critique I have is the lack of acknowledgement that the "model minority" has a completely different college experience.
I was in Shattuck cinema last night with the UC Berkeley BSU and the biggest cheers occured when it was mentioned that "Latinos United" were Meeting across the street. I think there should of been more commentary on the relationship between minority groups.
