Review of Dear Wendy (2005) by Christopher M — 10 Jun 2007
Honestly, it's not that great of a flick but that still doesn't mean I won't watch it. Vinterberg takes the always interesting topic of gun control and throws such hackneyed plots behind his characters, albeit with a cool execution.
The entire setting seems borrowed from fellow director Lars Von Trier (where he used chalk outlines on a stage as a setting). Certainly there is a love affair with weapons in America, but the ending and why it gets carried out seems ridiculous.
Guess you just have to see it for yourself.
