Review of Dean Spanley (2008) by Kirstie O — 11 Mar 2009
Lovers of language and charm (and perhaps dogs), do yourself a favour and make the effort to catch this one. A funny, strange endeavour - more play-like than film-like perhaps (bit not to its detriment) - Peter O'Toole continues to amaze - we should all be grateful to Bryan Brown for 1.
being his gorgeous self; and 2. talking Sam Neill into making this - he's uttery charming as a man who recalls being a dog - his descriptions are so entertaining. I loved this. I laughed and laughed.
I love Jeremy Northam too, as always.
