Review of Deadgirl (2008) by Michael G — 26 Mar 2010
Unbelievably f*cked up and shocking unlike most of horror films I've seen in years! Films like this are a good departure from plague of horror remakes for past few years although I think the giant Hollywood studios are too afraid to release this in theaters because of the disturbing subject matter in the movie.
The story is very bold and original but somewhat pushes the envelope however throughout the film it really focuses on the main characters friendship are put to the test and it includes a unique "coming of age" theme as well.
Some of the scenes are down right gross and repulsive and creeped the f*cked out too but thats what horror movies is supposed to be about. This is a film not for the faint of heart or people with weak stomachs because I guarantee after watching this you'll either love it or sickened with repulsion.
