Review of Day & Night (2010) by I Don't Know W — 27 Aug 2011
Booklover11's Short Reviews: Time to review the critically acclaimed Pixar short, Night & Day: Not the best short I've seen, but it's very interesting and creative. It's about day and night being actual live creatures, and they discover each other.
Even though this short has a creative premise and beautiful sights and sounds, I had several problems with it. First, it's not a short you should think about, as it's not realistic at all, but it didn't try to be realistic, but I just wish it had more realism.
Secondly, the second half is WAY better than the first half, and that's pretty disappointing. Finally, it doesn't have as much heart as other Pixar shorts in the past, or comedy. That was disappointing, but it still is an interesting film to watch.
Overall, it was a nice intro before Toy Story 3 started in theaters. Check it out. Four stars.
