5 stars only for the directors cut.
The original release is a waste of time because the plot of the film is given away by the voice over about 2mins into the film.
In the directors cut there is no voice over and you feel more for the main character as you travel with him to find his memorys.
Director Alex Proyas says in the DVD commentery that The original release was heavly infuenced by the film studio and told alex to dumb it down.
If you are going to watch this cult classic watch the directors cut.
