Review of Dancers (1987) by Mikhail B — 20 Jun 2012
Dancers (1987) - A brief reminder of Giselle ballet performed by Baryshnikov with a totally subdued 'main' story of a young, beautiful dancer coming to a studio in Italy and falling love with the charismatic womaniser, her teacher and dancing partner (Baryshnikov), who can't resist the temptation to have a short affair with the aspiring student and break her heart.
That nearly leads to disaster. Ballet is more-or-less nicely shot, but the rest its awful, though, I think it will do for the great ballet dancer's fans.
