Review of Daffy Duck's Quackbusters (1988) by Tim S — 03 Feb 2012
And now we come to another childhood favorite of mine. Daffy Duck's Quackbusters saw a lot of heavy rotation in my VCR when I was a kid, and I hadn't really seen it much since then. I believe it airs on TV once in a while, but I really wanted my own copy and I found one recently.
It culls together various older cartoons and combines them with new animated wrap-around segments to form a story about Daffy Duck inheriting a fortune but being forced to use it for the purposes of good.
In turn, he decides to start a paranormal investigation business with Bugs Bunny and Porky Pig. The film also features Sylvester and Tweety Bird in smaller parts. I can't really see any flaws in it at this point because it is what it is.
The animation, new and old, is great, and the film is very enjoyable and fun to watch. That's enough for me.
